A collaborative performance about freedom, love and cohesion - by Team Volume and guests.
"Do we dare to go outside? Feels unnatural. Uncertain. What you could do if you could. But you can only do so little if you don't feel good about it. Come on let's do ... let out of that. Let in the fantasy."
Degrees of Freedom explores: space and body, contour and color, closeness and distance, solitude and community, light and dark, emptiness and fullness, noise and silence, fabric and skin. In the process, light, costume, stage, acting, choreography and music challenge each other in the constant search for encounter, love, freedom and cohesion. What is it - relationship? Does it need community? How much closeness can one stand? Where does silence arise? How much freedom is left to each individual?
Team Volume, light designer Asier Solana and the actor Tilman Strauß have explored the question of collective work in today's world of individual artists. In "Degrees of Freedom" they take time to discover a common language and form, allowing a space to emerge in which all have the same say, payment and value.
